Quiche and Cocktails and Carbs, Oh My!
Easter Brunch is one of my favorite holidays to host at the lake. Despite having Jewish stepsons, Easter is one of our family’s most treasured holidays. You can read about our secular celebration here. Today, I’m sharing our ten favorite Easter brunch recipes, each of which we’re tried and loved.
Baked French Toast
From Martha Stewart Living. The best part — you can prep it the night before and pop it in the oven Easter morning. [image: marthastewart.com]
Bacon-Cheese Quiche
From Everyday Food. We’ve made this with diced ham instead of bacon, and both are amazing. [image: Romulo Yanes via marthastewart.com]
Vodka Greyhound
From our very own kitchen. A twist on the traditional Greyhound, featuring mint-infused grapefruit juice and a splash of club soda.
Gluten-Free Ham and Swiss Quiche
From Everyday Food. We use Martha Stewart’s Basic Pie Crust instead of her gluten free version, but the filling is so good, any crust will do. [image: marthastewart.com]
Pull-Apart Buttermilk Biscuits with Sausage Gravy
From Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat. If you haven’t purchased Chrissy Teigen’s first cookbook, DO IT NOW. Her biscuits and gravy alone are worth the price.
Sparkling Kumquat Gin Cocktail
The perfect brunch cocktail: kumquat, gin, St. Germain, Pellegrino, simple syrup, & rosemary.
Blythe’s Bluberry Muffins
From My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness . Gwyneth Palrow’s first cookbook is one of my all-time favorites. I replace the blueberries with bing cherries when they’re in season, and both versions are fantastic.
After-School Banana Bread
From Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering. Hands down, the best banana bread recipe ever.
Pimm’s Cup
This has been our go-to Easter brunch cocktail for the past two years. Plus, you can choose your favorite version.
